JCOPE Releases 2017 Mid-Year Lobbying Data

The Joint Commission on Public Ethics (JCOPE) has released state lobbying data for the first half of 2017.  JCOPE’s report shows that clients of lobbyists reported spending $121.2 million to influence state and local government decision making in New York between January 1 and June 30, and increase of about $1 million over the same time period in 2016.

The top lobbying client for the first half of 2017 was Uber, which reported spending $1.78 million.  It was followed by the Greater New York Hospital Association, which reported $1.45 million in lobbying spending.
