Michael Paulsen, Esq. is a member of the Firm’s Health Law and Government Relations departments. Mr. Paulsen’s practice is focused on providing strategic, regulatory and legislative counsel to health insurers and health care providers, including nursing homes, clinics, home care agencies, and assisted living facilities. Mr. Paulsen has experience in providing regulatory compliance guidance to health care providers as well as representing providers on licensing matters with the Department of Health. Mr. Paulsen also advises not-for-profit organizations on governance issues, acquisitions and sales, and compliance, particularly with the New York Nonprofit Revitalization Act.

Mr. Paulsen earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Albany Law School, where he was also a Senior Editor of the Albany Law Review and a Dean Sponsler Honors Teaching Fellow. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association.
