State Board of Elections Looking to Hire Enforcement Counsel

According to a report in today’s Times Union, Democrats on the State Board of Elections (SBOE) have nominated Kathleen O’Keefe, a well-regarded attorney with extensive experience in election law and related matters, to serve as the agency’s enforcement counsel.

Ms. O’Keefe has previously worked for the Assembly Majority, and also for the Democratic Assembly Campaign Committee (DACC).

If approved for the position, she will replace Liz Hogan, who is retiring.  The appointment is subject to SBOE approval, and also by the state Division of Budget.
