NYC CFB to Meet, Releases Latest Newsletter and Launches ‘Campaign Finance Summary’

The New York City Campaign Finance Board (NYC CFB) will hold its next meeting on Monday, August 5th, at its offices in lower Manhattan.  An agenda will be made available the day before the meeting.

With New York City races heating up (both city-wide offices and City Council seats), the Board may be making some news over the next few months.

NYC CFB also came out with the latest issue of its Full Disclosure newsletter today.

Finally, for the serious political geeks…NYC CFB has launched Campaign Finance Summary – an easily-searchable database of contributions to candidates and outside groups, dating back to 1989.  It has some interesting analytical tools enabling a user to compare how candidates are doing in terms of their fundraising efforts, including graphs showing contributors by amount (both # and %), total contributions, among others.  Very impressive.
