New York Times report: “Espada Charged With Stealing From Nonprofit”

According to a report in the New York Times web site, outgoing State Senate majority leader Pedro Espada Jr. and his son have been indicted by a federal grand jury for embezzling more than $500,000 from the nonprofit health care network they operated in the Bronx for personal and political expenses.
