Nathaniel Altman is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment departments. Mr. Altman assists with contract and union negotiations, grievance hearings and disciplinary matters, Section 72 and 75 matters, and Article 78 proceedings for municipal clients.

Mr. Altman assists businesses and higher education clients with compliance with state and federal wage and hour, labor, and anti-discrimination laws. In addition, Mr. Altman assists with the representation of clients in the filing of disability retirement applications to the New York state and local retirement system, representation of clients in various estate and probate matters, and real estate transactions.

Mr. Altman joined the firm in 2022 as a Summer Law Clerk while earning his degree from Albany Law School. Prior to joining Hinman Straub, Mr. Altman worked in New York City as an underwriter and legal assistant for Mutual of America Financial Group before attending Albany Law School, where he graduated cum laude.

Mr. Altman grew up in Andover, Massachusetts, and enjoys spending his winters on the ski mountains.
