Attorney General Appoints Public Integrity Officers in Nassau, Suffolk
Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced today that he has appointed Assistant Attorneys General in his Nassau and Suffolk Regional Offices as public integrity officers who “will focus exclusively on rooting out abuse and fraud by public officials.”
Schneiderman appointed his first public integrity officer in Rochester in May. He has promised to appoint a lawyer specializing in investigating public corruption in each of the Attorney General’s 13 regional offices.
Victoria Safran, an Assistant Attorney General since 2004, will serve in the Nassau office. Kimberly Kinirons, who joined the Attorney General’s office in 2006, has been designated to serve in the Suffolk office.
