Candidate Cuomo Releases Ethics Reform Plan

Gubernatorial candidate Andrew Cuomo released his “plan to tackle public corruption in both State and local government.”

The report highlights Andrew Cuomo’s anti-corruption efforts as Attorney General, and lays out some guidasnce principles:

• increasing citizen participation and restoring trust in government by reforming New York’s campaign finance laws
• eliminating the “pay to play” culture and restoring integrity in government by reforming State and local ethics laws
• fighting public corruption to prevent and prosecute wrongdoing and protect tax dollars; and
• sunlight is the best disinfectant and will bring transparency and accountability to government
