JCOPE Accepting Comments on Revised Gift, Source of Funding Regs
Today’s New York State Register includes JCOPE’s “revised rulemaking” regarding its proposed Gift Regulations for Lobbyists and Clients. The public comment period on these proposed regulations runs through May 9th.
Yesterday, JCOPE sent out an e-blast informing the regulated community that they are accepting public comment on the revised version of its proposed Source of Funding regulations. The public comment period on these proposed regulations runs through April 25th.
Also, Capital NY reports that JCOPE has formally notified four groups that sought exemptions from the “source of funding” disclosure requirement – who argued that their donors would face a “substantial likelihood of harm” – that their requests have been denied.
Under JCOPE’s current source of funding regulations (which are in effect on temporary basis), the groups have 15 business days to file a ‘notice of appeal’ with JCOPE.
