JCOPE to Meet on Tuesday, Jan. 31

The Joint Commission on Public Ethics (JCOPE) will hold its third meeting this coming Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at its offices in Albany.  The agenda is here.

At their last meeting, the Commissioners said that they hoped to be ready to approve an Executive Director at this meeting.

Much of the work that JCOPE must undertake as directed by Chapter 399 of 2011 – including its review of existing advisory opinions, developing regulations on gifts and developing a new ethics training program for state employees, lobbyists/clients – has been on hold pending appointment of an Executive Director.
