Moreland Commission Public Hearing Recap
Last night’s public hearing of the Moreland Commission to Investigate Public Corruption, its second, featured testimony from what one reporter called “veteran reform advocates” on member items and the need for campaign finance reform, including closing the LLC loophole, better enforcement at the state Board of Elections and enacting a system of publicly-funded campaigns.
The Commission has not yet posted video of the hearing, or any witness testimony.
Read news coverage of the hearing in the Times Union, Gannett, Gotham Gazette and (behind a pay wall) Newsday.
The Commission had scheduled a public hearing to be held in Buffalo on Sept. 18. That hearing has been postponed, and has not yet been rescheduled.
