News and Editorial Coverage of Gov’s Anti-Corruption Proposal

Read coverage of the Governor’s Public Trust Act, phase one of his public anti-corruption effort, in the Times Union, the Poughkeepsie Journal, the Daily News, the Post,the Syracuse Post-Standard, Newsday, the Times, the Buffalo News, New York Public Radio, and the Wall Street Journal.

On the editorial board side, the Daily News calls on legislators to “get on board,” while Newsday calls the proposal “a good start.”

The NY Post’s editorial board is skeptical, while columnist Mike Goodwin is not buying it.

Meanwhile, the Post is also reporting that state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is looking into possible “pay to play” in Albany – where legislators push legislation that benefits their campaign donors.
