News Coverage, Reaction to Moreland Act Commission
Here are links to some of the news coverage of yesterday’s announcement of the establishment of the “Commission to Investigate Public Corruption” — the New York Times, the Times Union, the Wall Street Journal, the Daily News, the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle, Bloomberg, the Legislative Gazette and WAMC, as well a story in the Buffalo News about his trip to Buffalo today.
The editorial boards that weighed in today were supportive. Newsday’s editorial board said “the commission appears to be a powerhouse.” The Times Union editorial board titled their “The governor gets tough.” The Journal News compared the panel’s job to “shooting fish in a barrel.” The Daily News said the commission “has a huge job to do.”
I’m sure we’ll be seeing more editorial boards sharing their views in the coming days.
