Times Union Looks at JCOPE Review Panel
In today’s Times Union, Chris Bragg takes a look at the JCOPE Review Commission, which is reviewing the operations of the Joint Commission on Public Ethics, the state’s ethics and lobbying watchdog. (Read my prior post on the Review Commission’s appointment here.)
The Review Commission has been tasked with reviewing and evaluating the activities and performance of JCOPE and the Legislative Ethics Commission, and to issue a report to the Governor and Legislature to by November 1, 2015, which will include recommendations on strengthening the administration and enforcement of the state’s ethics laws.
According to the article, the Review Commission is scheduling a public hearing in Albany for Wednesday, October 7, as well as a series of meetings in Albany on Sept. 28.
