Fisch to Retire as IG; Biben May be Replacement
New York State Inspector General Joseph Fisch announced yesterday that he intends to retire at the end of 2010. Fisch was hailed for conducting a number of high-profile public corruption investigations, including one that resulted in the bombshell AEG/Aqueduct racino report.
The NY Post reports that incoming Governor Andrew Cuomo will appoint Ellen Biben to the position. Biben served under the Attorney General as special deputy attorney general for public integrity.
