JCOPE Names New Executive Director
The Joint Commission on Public Ethics (JCOPE) announced today that it has appointed Seth Agata to serve as its Executive Director after a lengthy search.
From JCOPE’s press release:
Mr. Agata has more than 30 years of legal experience in government and the private sector….[he] currently serves as Chair of the state’s Public Employment Relations Board. Prior to that, he worked in a number of positions in government, including as Acting Counsel and First Assistant Counsel to the Governor, Assistant Secretary for Program and Policy and Senior Associate Counsel in the office of Counsel to the Majority of the New York State Assembly, Counsel for Investigations in the Office of the New York State Comptroller, and an Assistant District Attorney in Columbia County.
