JCOPE Releases Mid-Year Lobbying Data
The Joint Commission on Public Ethics (JCOPE) released its mid-year lobbying data report today; it reflects lobbying data submitted to JCOPE by lobbyists, their clients and public corporations from January 1 through June 30.
The top spenders for the period include two teachers unions, the ‘No More Casinos’ coalition (which is funded by two entities that operate gambling facilities), Public Campaign Action Fund (which advocates for public financing of political campaigns), the Greater New York Health Care Association, a pro-charter school group, the Public Employees Federation, AARP, and the state Trial Lawyers Association.
