JCOPE Releases ‘Plain Language Guide to Procurement Lobbying’

The Joint Commission on Public Ethics (JCOPE) released a new guidance document today, the Plain Language Guide to Procurement Lobbying.

The document is intended to help clarify the state’s (really complicated) laws relating to procurement lobbying, which  are efforts to influence the awarding of a government contract.

This is a some very good work that should help promote compliance in the procurement world.  Hopefully, we’ll see more “plain language” guidance documents from JCOPE in the future.
