Watch JCOPE’s Lobbying Overview Training

Last week, the Joint Commission on Public Ethics (JCOPE) held a training session in Albany on the requirements of Lobbying Act and on the new comprehensive Lobbying Regulations that take effect on January 1, 2019.

The training session presenters were Meghan Hennigan, JCOPE’s Deputy Director of Education, and Carol Quinn, JCOPE’s Deputy Director of Lobbying Guidance.

The recording is about one hour and 15 minutes long.  The presenters did a short primer on the state’s current lobbying requirements before getting into the nuts and bolts of the new lobbying regulations. That discussion starts at the 16:00 minute mark.
