Complaint Lodged Against Saland with LEC

The Register-Star (out of Hudson, NY) is reporting that a complaint has been filed with the Legislative Ethics Commission (LEC) alleging that Senator Saland asked the Columbia County Fire Commissioner to ask county firehouses to post messages on their outside signs indicating their support for the senator in the upcoming election.

At least one fire company posted a sign indicating their support for the Senator.

The complaint alleges an illegal quid-pro-quo — public money for political support.
