Hinman Straub Welcomes Lev Ginsburg

 

Albany, New York – Hinman Straub, one of New York’s preeminent health care law and government relations firms, representing a broad array of health care providers and health plans in transactions, compliance, regulatory approvals and government relations, is pleased to announce the addition Lev Ginsburg to its legislative and healthcare legal teams. In his new role he will be joining as a Partner with Hinman Straub and will also serve as Executive Director of the New York State Conference of Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans (NYSCOP). Ginsburg joins a group of more than 40 other attorneys and government relations professionals advocating on behalf of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans on policy decisions to ensure that affordable, high quality health insurance coverage and health care services are afforded to all New Yorkers.

Most recently, Lev served as Counsel to the Business Council of New York State, Inc. During his nearly 11 years with the Business Council, Lev served in a variety of roles including as senior director of government affairs.

Prior to joining the Business Council, Lev served as an attorney and staff supervisor with the former Governor’s Office of Regulatory Reform (GORR). At GORR, Lev’s regulatory oversight work covered many issues, but focused on health and labor regulations. Prior to his seven-year tenure with GORR, Lev was a staff attorney with T-Mobile Communications.

Lev received his juris doctor degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He resides in Menands with his wife and two children.
