Jonathan Graves is a member of the firm’s Government Relations department. He joined the firm with nearly a decade of experience in the New York State Senate Majority, where he served as Director of Legislative Operations.
In that role, he was responsible for coordinating the legislative and floor operations of the Senate and overseeing legislation, across all policy areas, from introduction through delivery to the Governor for final approval. He has extensive knowledge of the committee process, appointments and nominations, the chapter amendment process, floor procedure, and the rules that govern legislation.
Mr. Graves was also responsible for managing the article VII budget process on behalf of the Senate, working closely with the Assembly, the Division of Budget, and the Executive to ensure final bills reflected negotiated agreements and to preserve operational integrity throughout the process.
