Senate Mandates Ethics Training for Senators, Staff

Senate Majority Leader Skelos issued a press release today announcing a new Senate policy under which all Senators and staff will have to undergo ethics training each two-year legislative session.

The training will be provided by the Legislative Ethics Commission, and all current staff must participate in the training program by April 1st.

Senatgor Skelos’s directive follows a similar ethics training mandate imposed by Governor Cuomo via Executive Order on January 2nd.
