Hevesi Expected to Plead Guilty
The New York Times is reporting that former New York State Comptroller Alan Hevesi is expected to plead guilty to providing pension investment business to firms that gave him and his associates financial benefits. The story points out that “Mr. Hevesi will become the highest-ranking state official convicted in the case and most likely to serve time in prison.”
Updated 9/30/10: It seems that the Times may have jumped the gun on this story. It now looks as if a plea might not happen until next week.
