CPI Reportedly Planning to Investigate Paterson Hire for Chief Diversity Officer

Today’s NY Post reports that the Commission on Public Integrity is preparing an inquiry into the administration’s hiring of the state’s first chief diversity officer.  The Post previously reported that the person hired for the position is, or was, the girlfriend of one of the Governor’s closest aides.

If this report is accurate, the CPI will likely be looking into whether the hire violates the state’s ban on nepotism in hiring.
