Attorney General Appoints Public Integrity Officers in Each Regional Office
Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has announced the designation of public integrity officers in each of his 14 regional offices throughout the state.
According to the Attorney General, these attorneys are charged with giving taxpayers a place to go to report complaints of government corruption “without fear of local politics influencing the outcome.”
Schneiderman has previously announced appointments in his Rochester, Nassau, Suffolk and Buffalo offices.
His appointments fulfill a campaign pledge in which he promised to “police local government corruption” and “to hold those accountable who defraud state or local governments.”
