July 15th Elections and Lobbying Filings Due

Today is a busy day in the elections and lobbying worlds.

The July 15^th state Board of Elections filings are due today.  The filings due today cover political donations made between January and July 11^th.

The political blogs are abuzz with BOE filings updates today, and the most attention is being paid to the State Senate filings.  The battle for control of the state Senate is expected to be one of the biggest political in 2012.  The Senate Republicans currently control the Senate by a slim 32-30 margin.

Also, there are two filings due today at the soon-to-be eliminated Commission on Public Integrity.  The May/June 2011 Lobbyist and Public Corporation Bimonthly Reports and Disbursement of Public Monies reports and the 2011 January/June Client Semi-Annual Reports Due.
