NYC Campaign Finance Board to Meet

The New York City Campaign Finance Board (CFB) holds its next public meeting tomorrow morning at its offices in lower Manhattan.  Read the meeting agenda here.

The Board will consider an advisory opinion request from SEIU Local 32 BJ (a labor union) relating to CFB’s application of its new rules on independent expenditures in the context of labor activity.  Read 32 BJ’s initial advisory opinion request here, and its follow-up communication to CFB here.

This is likely to be just the first of many questions CFB will have to provide guidance on as it follows through on apply its new IE rules.
