Legislative Ethics Reportedly Investigating Hiring of Senator Espada’s Son

According to Liz Benjamin (see last item), the Legislative Ethics Commission is investigating the Senate Democratic Conference’s hiring of Pedro G. Espada in 2009.

Pedro G. Espada is the son of Senator Pedro Espada Jr. (who recently lost a Democratic primary, and who will not be in office in 2011), and the hiring may have violated state anti-nepotism laws.
