Hinman Straub Seeks Legislative Assistant
Hinman Straub seeks a Legislative Assistant to join our Government Affairs staff. Must be a self-starter and work independently, have knowledge of legislative process, possess political judgment and ability to develop relationships with legislators, staff and clients.
Associates degree or higher; at least 3 years related experience and/or training. Previous direct work experience in the NYS Legislature, lobbying or law firm, or membership organization highly desired as well as compliance with post-employment restrictions of the NYS Joint Commission on Public Ethics.
Responsibilities include, meeting planning and scheduling, database entry and maintenance, time recording and billing, project support and other general administrative duties as assigned. Familiarity and competency with Microsoft Office suite, web-based meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
Our offices are located in downtown Albany and parking is provided.
